Osaka Kids

Today I went to a long-established place in Osaka called 売り専大阪Kids and got completely taken for a ride. It's the first time I've encountered this kind of situation in Japan.

The guy I had booked at the start came in and didn't speak at all and showed no expression. Because the atmosphere was awkward I tried to interact a little by asking his age, hobbies, and so on. But whenever I asked a question he answered with just a few words and then went silent, looking reluctant. He kept coughing throughout the session—I couldn't tell if it was real or fake. When I asked if he felt unwell he said no, yet he kept coughing off and on. When I tried a bit of physical interaction and to touch him, he let me touch him with a displeased look; when I tried to help him undress he didn't want to undress, and after he did take clothes off he immediately said he was cold and wanted the blanket back on.

With that kind of behavior and interaction it was impossible to continue, so after about fifteen minutes I had to grit my teeth and tell him I wanted to cancel today's reservation. He asked why; I said he looked unwell and seemed to be in a bad mood, and I had no interest in continuing, so I wanted to cancel. He asked again why, and I repeated myself, and at that point he started pretending not to understand.

So I asked whether the shop staff were there because I wanted to explain it to them directly. At first he said he didn't know, then he said they weren't there, dragging it out. After I asked several times whether staff were really not there, he finally said he could try calling them from the room phone. After he called he ran out—maybe to find staff. When he came back he only said I couldn't cancel because the session had already started and it had exceeded 30 minutes, so no refund. I said that was unfair and asked him to get the staff to come explain it to me in person. He ran out again, and after about 5 to 10 minutes a so‑called staff member who looked like a high school student came in. I repeated the same complaint about the boy, and he went out again—either to speak with that boy or to ask a higher-up. When he returned he said the same thing: because it had already exceeded 30 minutes, it couldn't be canceled and no refund could be given. I said I'd told the boy I wanted to cancel after about fifteen minutes, but because I spent a lot of time trying to communicate with him it ran over. He said there was nothing to be done: either continue the time or I leave and go home. Because the money had been collected by someone else as soon as we went in, there was nothing I could do (thinking back, I probably should have threatened to call the police), so in the end I left furious.

I don't know if anyone else has experienced something similar. From now on be very careful with boys who, as soon as you enter, look displeased, don't speak, and fake cough or act sick—because they do nothing, don't want any interaction, and when you try to cancel they pretend not to understand to stall until you pass 30 minutes, then they know they have you pinned. If you're dissatisfied in the future, make sure to get a staff member in person to explain it clearly as soon as possible, or contact the shop by email immediately instead of wasting time dealing with those boys—otherwise you'll just waste your money like this!

This group also has branches in Tokyo and Fukuoka. Actually, previously I met one or two very nice guys at the Tokyo and Osaka shops, but they left after only a few months—maybe that's related to how internal issues are handled or to being treated unfairly.

I originally had another appointment the next day, but after being treated like this I immediately canceled it and put this shop and the group's other branches on my blacklist.
