【A Quiet Restoration】A Night at Johnny's Stress-Relief Studio

After you turn forty, you slowly come to understand one thing——
Many times, we're not tired, we're just 'holding on for too long'.
That day work finished close to nine; my head was still racing while my shoulders were so tense they felt almost stiff.
I had only planned to walk home, but while scrolling my phone I stumbled on my favorite find — Johnny Stress-Relief Studio.
I didn't think twice; because I like bears, I immediately decided to go — GO~ (with the same excitement as visiting the Hokkaido bear farm).
The room's lighting was soft, neither bright nor dark.
Johnny's first question wasn't 'Which treatment would you like?', but 'Have you been too tired lately?'
In that instant I felt a little seen through. He was totally my type — a cute, bear-like guy with a rugged, masculine vibe.
Throughout the session he hardly spoke, focusing on each movement of his hands. (I could feel the warmth of his body),
His pressure was steady but unhurried; those times he pressed down, my body really had moments of 'letting go'.
Especially my back and waist, which seemed to hold a lot of unspoken tension, were slowly unraveled by him, piece by piece.
With my eyes closed, for a few minutes I truly felt like I'd returned to my twenties and could breathe deeply again.
It turns out that being 'well taken care of' is a kind of strength — not just relaxing the muscles, but a process that brings calm to the heart.
When it was over he handed me a glass of water; I smiled and said, 'This was more useful than sleep.'
He simply replied, 'The body will remember the feeling of relaxation. Just remember to come back to it often.'
I still remember that sentence to this day.
(In my head I only thought that I wanted to throw my little apple for him to catch and feed it ~ that's how they feed the cute bears in Hokkaido)
