Korea, Seoul — Jjimjilbang (sauna) "Magic DVD" — a non‑mainstream sauna, but it's a lot of fun

Magic DVD is a quite different kind of hookup venue
The location is at Sindang Station Exit 4 — a one-minute walk
The location is pretty convenient
Price is 7,000–9,000 KRW (varies by time slot)
In short, the price is very cheap, and they won't charge foreigners an extremely high price
“Korea is generally xenophobic, and saunas are no exception — if they find out you're a foreigner, the ticket price becomes way higher. I went to one place where it was 30,000 KRW right away”
On this trip I went to Magic DVD for three days
When you enter, on the right there is a row of lockers
Next to that is the front desk; after paying, the desk gives you two wet wipes
(Yes, that's just two single-pack wet wipes)
Then there's the storage area next to it where you can put things, with combination locks — very convenient
(Some customers come empty-handed and don't use them at all)
After putting your stuff away you can go in
(Yes — you don't take off your clothes or shoes, so I just left my bag and went in with my phone in hand)
Inside there's a water dispenser, a drink vending machine, only one toilet (you can clean your back door in there — there is no shower, so it's recommended to shower beforehand), a smoking room, a movie wall, six rooms, and one dark room (the dark room has a glory hole
Koreans like to take photos of you with their phones, so don't be surprised — after I got used to it I took photos too
Because it's cheap and the space is small, it never gets too crowded
Everyone inside was Korean; I didn't see tourists
The clientele are really all kinds: old, middle-aged, young, fat, thin, bears, burly, etc.
Most people are there for quick encounters — if they like you they go for it and then leave
They don't hang around picking and choosing
So if you really like someone, just go for it
On the first day when I arrived I saw a young man of medium build
I had just come in and he happened to be going to the toilet
So I paid a little attention to him
After going in I walked to the dark room
The next second he appeared at the dark room entrance
