After returning to Taipei from a business trip, in the following days I—usually busy with work—had never tried a GaySpa. After my experience in Taichung during the trip I wanted to come back and compare with Taipei, and I can only say this massage really surprised me.

This time I booked a therapist after work, again through the official customer service. To be honest I had originally booked a different therapist, but it was so last-minute that they gave me a few therapists who were available today. I personally don’t like therapists who are too thin or bony, so after looking at the photos I chose Dai Lun and quickly went to the studio. The place is nice, conveniently close to the MRT. When you arrive you’ll notice the equipment is new and the environment is good; notably each room has a separate shower and toilet, so the therapist usually asks if you want to use the restroom first. I arrived a bit late; by eye there were about two to three clients. The place is very respectful of clients’ privacy—for example they try to avoid different clients meeting each other and wait until the common areas are clear before admitting someone. I found that very thoughtful.

To get to the point, Dai Lun has a strong, muscular build and looks very much like his photos. His face is like a boy-next-door. People often ask about size and how far things go; personally I thought the size was quite generous, though limits really depend on the person. Compared with the Taichung massage, this felt about the same—afterward I felt refreshed, and surprisingly my math suddenly seemed much better, my head was clear and I was full of musical inspiration. If I could I’d buy a Dai Lun to take home and hug in winter (just kidding).

So in short, I had massages three times within a single week.

So I wanted to share this while it’s still fresh. I’ll try to book the therapist I couldn’t get before and share again later.
