禾spa/Personal opinion
He has been getting a lot of buzz lately, so I tried it once!
Honestly, the environment is pretty much the same as places like "Dui-zhang" or "Mu-dan"~
As for the view outside the window, the other two can even see Taipei 101 (I’m not really paying attention to the view! You’re either lying face up or face down during a massage—how are you supposed to look XD If they had a huge aquarium right under the bed it would be beautiful— or a TV—haha
Also, having the bathroom outside is fairly inconvenient; the therapist even has to stand guard and check outside first, and you might accidentally run into another group of guests~
The other two places have private rooms so you won’t be disturbed; actually most gay spa shops around here also have private rooms with their own bathroom facilities!
Bath products are more or less the same; the shower products at Mu-dan seemed a bit fancier? But they’re not going to pour an entire bottle on you—pumping two or three times is only a few bucks in cost~ The only special thing was they included a disposable toothbrush kit.
The slippers were quite nice and even had He embroidered on them, but they’re disposable so they really don’t reuse them. Kind of wasteful~
The therapists wear a white top uniform embroidered with the character "禾" and black shorts. It does feel ceremonial! But did the previous guest also have skin contact with the same outfit—aaaah........
The other two places also have early-bird booking discounts or point-based discounts~
He Spa’s regular price is very high, and the discounted time slots aren’t that attractive either
06:00~12:00)Two hours 3200 / after discount 2200
But after 10/31 the regular price is 3200—who will still be booking at that rate?
I’m not trying to attack them, I just feel the gay spa market in Ximen is too big/saturated
Every place wants a piece of the pie, but there isn’t much distinctive differentiation.
The services are basically: shiatsu, oil massage, btob, functional therapy—more.
To be honest, it’s quite expensive. I went once during a special price period—at full price I wouldn’t praise it. After all, Ximen has a diverse range of gay spas to choose from~
(Some places have limited-time deals: if you book before 15:00 for 90 minutes, the discounted price is only NT$2000~)
(Booking a day in advance can also get you NT$300 off; 120 minutes is only NT$2200)
That’s all. Just my personal thoughts~
